Angle of elevation :- When observer is below the point he see, then the angle between the line joining eye and point with the horizontal line is called the angle of elevation. Its direction is ant-clockwise from the horizontal line.

Angle of depression :- When observer is above the point he see, then the angle between the line joining eye and point with the horizontal line is called the angle of depression. Its direction is clockwise from the horizontal line.
