Example – 1 : Find the co-ordinates of the mid-point of the line joining (3, 6) and (7, 4)

Solution : - Let co-ordinates of mid-point be (x, y)

Example 2 : - If co-ordinates of mid-point are (3a, 2b) and one end point is (a, -b). Find the co-ordinates other end point.

Solution : - Let co-ordinates of other end point be (x, y)

Hence coordinates of other end are (5a, 5b).
